Court, Legal and Disability Policy and Fees
- We are unable provide disability determination evaluations, custody studies, or court evaluations.
- We do not appear in court on behalf of clients nor do we maintain records with the intended purpose of court involvement. Since the client-therapist relationship is built on trust and confidentiality it may be damaging to such relationship if the therapist is asked to present client records to the court or testify as a fact or expert witness in any type of court proceeding. Regardless, if subpoenaed or court ordered, Resolution Counseling Center, LLC. may have to reveal information based on the law.
- If subpoenaed or court order to appear or provide records, Resolution Counseling Center, LLC. will charge the full amount applicable under state law or the usual and customary for our services. Copies of records will be made available for a $17.68 processing fee, plus $1.33 per page for copying. (MN Statute 144.292, Subdivision 6). Any required court appearance on your behalf will be charged at the rate of $250 per hour. A retainer fee of $2000 will be need to be collected two weeks prior to the appearance, presentation of records, or testimony requested.
